22-year-old Roshmitha Harimurthy is getting prepared for Miss Universe contest. The Bengaluru girl is getting prepared for the 65th Miss Universe in Manila. Pursuing her master’s degree in International Business, Roshmitha is hoping to follow the footsteps of Sushmita Sen, India’s first Miss Universe who was crowned in the Philippines in 1994.
The beautiful young woman from Bengaluru, who was crowned Miss Diva 2016, is confident of winning the crown. She is studying in Mount Carmel College, which is known for producing beauty queens. Anushka Shetty, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma are from the same college.
Roshmitha is going through holistic training which is training and development of mind, body and soul to prepare for Miss Universe 2016. Her younger sister Rakshitha inspired her to take part in a beauty pageant. Rakshitha took part in Miss India 2015 and made it to the Top 10 finalists. Just like her younger sister, Roshmitha took part in beauty paegent. After taking part in beauty paegent, she feels more confident now.
Coming from a family of achievers in fields such as education, doctor, cricket, and politics, she chose to be a model. In India, most of the parents are against their daughter getting into glamourous field like modelling. However that was not the case with Roshmitha. Her parents gave their full support. She believes being congenial, communicative and knowledgeable will enable her to shine at Miss Universe.
Roshmitha Harimurthy was crowned Miss Diva 2016. The 22-year-old girl saw off competition from 15 girls to win the title. She described her journey as that of a roller coaster ride and she is confident to come out victorious.
A foodie, she loves home made food prepared by her mother. She is a big fan of model-turned actress Aishwarya Rai and considers her as role model. She is also into social service and is a volunteer teacher at Thanisandra Government Primary School in association with EFSA (Eco Foundation for Sustainable Alternatives).
Roshmitha Harimurthy wants to retain her attitude and hopes to do well at the pageant . It has been a long time that India has not won at the Miss Universe contest and she hopes she can break the spell.
