NRI businessman Dr. B R Shetty donates Rs. 2 crore to Kerala temple tragedy vicitms

Abu Dhabi: NMC and UAE Exchange group Chairman, Dr. B R Shetty has donated Rs. 2 crores to Chief Minister’s welfare fund which has taken up the relief and aid program of the victims of the fireworks blast in Puttingal Devi Temple at Paravur in Kollam district, Kerala.

He has He has also extended medical support with medicines and doctors, nurses, paramedical personals for the relief and aids operations.

On Sunday, April 10 tragedy struck Puttingal Devi Temple at Paravur, south of Kollam when an entire heap of fire crackers meant to be burst to mark the conclusion of the Meena-Bharani festival exploded.

110 persons were killed and close to 400 injured in one of the major fire tragedy in the history of Kerala. Many industrialists and entrepreneurs have extended their financial help to the victims of the temple tragedy. Dr. B R Shetty who has been always stood with the people of India during the times of calamities, this time too came forward to help the victims.
