Bengaluru: Ahead of the Karnataka Assembly elections, BJP is planning to hold a political convention for over 25,000 Muslims across the state. On Friday, several leaders from the Muslim community were inducted into the BJP party.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa said members from the Muslim community are turning towards BJP as they are aware of the vote bank politics, played by Congress.
“BJP’s win in Uttar Pradesh indicates the same. Muslims who believe in development will surely support BJP. They know that they are just being used by Congress. The next assembly election results will show that there will be an increase in votes of Muslims for BJP,” he said.
He also informed that Union Ministers and BJP election in-charge for Karnataka Assembly polls, Prakash Javadekar and Piyush Goyal, will hold a party meeting on Saturday in Bengaluru. He said that a conventions for Muslims will be held soon.
