Anup Bhandari and Nirup Bhandari, the famous Bhandari brothers, who made the whole nation turn towards Karnataka with “Rangitaranga” are back. The Tuluvas have completed shoot of their second venture “Rajaratha”.
The team has now released the first-look poster of the film. The director who plans to kick start with the promotion has attached the image and in his tweet, Anup mentions. “Rajaratha/ Rajaratham first look poster! Get ready for the Royal Journey.(sic).”
In the poster, Nirup is seen in a Tuxedo, Avantika is wearing a gown, sporting yellow helmet and yellow umbrella. Ravishankar in all new avatar with a unique hairdo and a tweed coat, which quite catches a lot of attention.
The director, who is juggling between the film’s music and at the dubbing studio is now looking forward to the audio release, which is something to look forward to from “Rajaratha” team. Made under Jollyhits Banner, this film features actors Arya and Sruthi Hariharan in a pivotal role.
William David, who was the cinematographer of “Rangi Taranga” is also the cinematographer of this film. The film’s shooting has almost been completed. Few months back, Nirup had injured his hand while shooting for a stunt scene. Due to this, the shooting of the film was postponed.
Anup has also shot the film in Telugu. The film will be a bilingual. Ajay Reddy, who is a popular distributor of Telugu films in USA is distributing this film. Ajay had in the past distributed “Rangi Taranga” in USA. He had reportedly bought the film for 10 lakhs and it ended up earning 2.5 crores, highest ever for a Kannada film. The record of “Rangi Taranga” has still not been broken in USA.
Ajay was impressed with the way the Bhandari brothers worked on the film and hence decided to produce their second film. Anup had written a rom com and decided to take Ajay as producer. Ajay, who had earned crores of profit on “Rangi Taranga” decided to invest that money in this film.
Ajay was also interested in making the film in Telugu. He shared his idea with Bhandari brothers, who thought that it is right time to expand their market. The film has been shot in Telugu also. In recent past, we have seen many films in Kannada being made in Telugu. Unfortunately none of them worked.
We will have to see if this rom com, which will has Kannada actors and technicians, work in Tollywood or no. But Ajay is confident and feels that the genre of this film is universal and it will be loved by audience in neighboring state.
Ajay has great contacts in Andhra Pradesh and is trying to aggressively promote the film there. He is sure of Telugu audience accepting this film. Let us see what is in store for the film.
Meanwhile the makers are waiting for a song to be shot. The film is aiming to release by this year end. Let us wait and see, if Bhandari brothers can create the same magic as “Rangi Taranga”.
