Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, reaffirmed his loyalty towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a host of issues including demonetization, GST, and even evaded comments on Jay Shah issue, claiming he had not read the newspapers.
“I have not read the newspapers this morning and it is improper to comment on anything without having knowledge of the basic facts,” he said.
The Opposition had tried to corner Nitish over the issue with his former deputy Tejashwi Prasad Yadav posting a Twitter poll — “What will Nitishji’s conscience do in the case of Amit Shah’s son? 1) keep sleeping or 2) will wake up.” Tejwashwi’s comments were a dig on Nitish’s statement that his “conscience” told him to quit as the CM of the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.
The PM also found backing from Nitish on the decisions of demonetization and GST implementation when he was asked about former Union finance minister Yashwant Sinha’s recent statements on it.
