You are a known name in Kannada film industry? Why did you enter Coastalwood?
I have been part of many successful films as editor in Kannada films like “Abhay” and “Gandade”. I am from Kundapur. So I wanted to do something in my district. I decided to use my knowledge to set up and editing studio. I have also produced and directed a Tulu film. My first film as editor in Coastalwood is “Amber Caterers”.
How has “Ambar Caterers” has come out?
The film has come out really well. I am not just praising because I am editor of the film. I am being honest. This film will be one of the landmark film. Being in film industry, I watch film from all languages. I can proudly say that “Ambar Caterers” will be a film, which will make Coatsalwood proud. The actors have given justice to the film. I would like to specially mention the lead hero Saurabh S Bhandari. This is his first film. But it does not look like that he is a newcomer. He has done a great job as actor. He has all the qualities to become next superstar.
When will the film release?
It will release on November 24. The expectations of the film are huge and I am sure that the film will do well upon release. The fans are curious about the release. I would like to say that this is a family entertainer, which will be loved by one and all.
What do you have to say regarding increase market for Tulu films?
Tulu films have a limited market now. But if we get united, I am sure our market will get bigger. It is just we all must join hands. I am sure in next few years, our film will release in other cities as well. I feel “Ambar Caterers” will be making a big impact in other market as well. We have Sandalwood actors like Sindhu Loknath, Sharath Lohitaswa and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan in the film. I am sure that their presence in the film will interest Kannada speaking people as well.
Which are your future projects?
I am working as editor for Tulu films like “Jugari”, “Dagallbaazi” and “Umil”. I am presently concentrating on Tulu films and hope to do more films.
Any plans of working in Sandalwood again?
As of now, I am doing Tulu projects. As I have set my studio here, I want to concentrate on Tulu films. I have a studio wherein dubbing, editing, DI and VFX work takes place. I will work in Kannada films soon and I will announce it soon.
