Sri Ram Sene chief, Pramod Muthalik, revealed that he and activists of his Hindu outfit will fight the coming assembly election in the state as Shiv Sena candidates. This announcement has shown that Shiv Sena is going to any extent to make sure BJP loses in upcoming state assembly elections.

As we all know in politics, enemies enemy is friend. This is what is happening. As we all know , Muthalik has hatred towards BJP. He had once officially joined BJP. But was removed from party within a day, insulting Muthalik. He blamed Ananth Kumar for the defeat and contested against him in Bangalore South Lok Sabha elections as independent. He however lost the elections in a bad manner.

Shiv Sena is also not happy with BJP. The duo have formed a coalition in Maharasthra and are at loggerheads, with Shiv Sena hitting out at Narendra Modi led Central Government.  Shiv Sena also praised Rahul Gandhi recently and said that Congress may form government at centre. This was shocking as Shiv Sena and Congress have never seen eye to eye in the past.

Therefore this joining hands of Pramod Muthalik with Shiv Sena is an interesting update in Karnataka politics. Muthalik said that an effort has been set rolling to build Shiv Sena in Karnataka for the all-round progress of Hindus. “We have already held two rounds of talks with the Shiv Sena head, Uddhav Thackeray. Final round of discussions are planned in a few days, and a final decision would be announced shortly,” he explained.

Muthalik revealed that some leading personalities owing allegiance to his outfit will fight under the banner of Shiv Sena if they get an opportunity do so. He said that even if the talks with Shiv Sena fail, his activists will be fielded as independent candidates, and their aim will be to achieve the welfare of Hindu community.

According to Muthalik, he has strong support in Sringeri, Chikkamagaluru, Vijayapura city, Belagavi and some other places. Muthalik said that he would also prefer to enter into an electoral understanding with BJP, if that party is agreeable for it. He added that so far BJP has not given any indication of their willingness to enter into alliance with his outfit. Therefore he will be joining hands with Shiv Sena.

Sri Ram Sene cozying up to Shiv Sena appears interesting because of strong pro-Maharashtra stance of Shiv Sena in border and language issues, and how Sri Ram Sene will cope with Shiv Sena’s political compulsions to stay committed to its anti-Karnataka stand in several matters.
